Remember when Jensen said his favorite word was insatiable

and remember when he said he wears silk boxers

or how bout when someone asked what his best attribute was and he just looked down at his lap and then smiRKED

or when someone asked if Dean was bisexual and he was too ‘uncomfortable’ with that question even though it was his acting choices that led that person to their conclusions

some days, my friend, you ruin a post so beautifully

Permission to change “are you satan” to “are you metatron” because Metatron is actually the embodiment of true evil in this world whereas Satan was just pretty chill.

 Satan was just pretty chill.”

what the hell is even going on in your fandom anymore

let’s just say that the apocalypse was less stressful

In fact a lot of us really miss the apocalypse and want satan back

In the sequence of the Rube Goldberg machine in the credits intro, the final event, which releases the cage that falls on the little tin man, is a hammer smashing into the bust of a woman. It bears a striking resemblance to Irene!

The sequence actually mirrors Moriarty’s plan to get to Sherlock: “Breaking” Irene in order to break Sherlock. It also underlines the way in which Irene Adler is an empty shell, a piece of art, and Moriarty’s best forgery to date…

Everyone on my Tumblr dash, PLEASE watch this. Especially if you are a creative artist:

Adobe is going to scrap their hard copies (disks) for their software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash), and have you pay a subscription for the latest software called the Adobe Creative Cloud. $50 per month. Could you really afford such an expense in the long run?

This is really disturbing. Please hear what he has to say, it really is a serious situation for working artists. Pass this along so others may know about the Adobe Creative Cloud and how horrible it is.

Yep… Just went to see how much Flash costs. You know, to just buy the program? Guess what? After spending a while looking, it appears that you CAN’T anymore. You have to pay an outrageous subscription fee. I hate adobe. Is there a petition going around to stop this nonsense? Because I want to sign it.

Thanks! I know a lot of artists and people who like art follow me. You guys should go sign that.

Today I just signed the petition in the voice against the Adobe Creative Cloud. For those who are not familiar with what the new Creative Cloud can do to you as an artist, I really suggest you watch this video.

For those who have seen, reblogged, faved, here’s the link (as shown in the previous reblog) to sign the petition. Anything can happen, Adobe really needs to know that many artists are not supportive of them controlling not just the software..but the content worked on the Cloud.

Signed! Boosting the signal, I prefer to be able to buy my software.

I’m not going to fucking SUBSCRIBE to Photoshop. What the fuck do you expect me to tell people, “sorry, can’t do your commission this month. Couldn’t afford the Photoshop rent”?

This is why I use Corel Painter :|b So few people seem to and I don’t understand why. It’s so much cheaper, super versatile, and doesn’t have this bullshit surrounding it :/

This would bankrupt most small animation companies. They would be forced to a) ask for more money from clients and be passed over for cheaper places (which would give them less contracts, force them to fire most staff, and eventually (probably) close). B) be forced to switch to a new program and retrain their current team or hire a new one.

And not even just companies; this would hurt anyone who freelances, wants to learn the program, schools…

i’m a film student, and i’m fucking terrified

my school is switching over to adobe premier next semester and i don’t know what’s going to happen when i don’t have access to the computers there anymore (i.e. in three years) if this remains adobe’s business model

you are seriously fucked up adobe

It seemed to her that she had begun to live in an abyss, and that it was Jean Valjean  who had rescued her from it. Her childhood produced upon her the effect of a time where there had been nothing around her but millipedes, spiders and serpents. When she meditated in the evening, before falling asleep, as she had not a very clear idea that she was Valjean’s daughter, and that he was her father, she fancied the soul of her mother had passed into that good man and had come to dwell near her.

When he was seated, she leaned her cheek against his white hair, and dropped a silent tear, saying to herself: “Perhaps this man is my mother.”

The Great Gatsby » symbolism | yellow

Yellow vs. Gold. Gold is old money—people who were born into rich society. Yellow is fake money. Gatsby’s yellow car is a symbol of his falsehood.

you can also say that yellow is deception in general, because daisy’s named for a flower that is white on the outside (symbolising the purity gatsby thinks she loves him with) and yellow on the inside.

the falseness of yellow isn’t only attached to gatsby’s bourgeois new-money aesthetic; it’s also attached to the deception and falseness and need to keep up appearances for the aristocratic east egg people.  daisy is false because she can’t be anything but false in her situation — these men surrounding her have unreasonable expectations of her (even nick to a point, because he (understandably, if you subscribe to the interpretation that nick was in love with gatsby) winds up hating her for the accident) and she is trapped by them.

the emptiness and falseness of the twenties aesthetic and social-climbing is like, literally the best part of this story.

gleendayfan15:my opinion on Supernatural’s episode of “groundhog day” is Gabriel toyed with Sam because he hated Dean(a bit) but secretly was in love with Sam

Josephine Baker, later known as ‘Bronze Venus’, ‘Black Pearl’ and ‘Créole Goddess’ was born in America in 1906 and later moved to France to become a singer, dancer, and actress. She was the first African-American woman to star in a major motion picture, and became famous worldwide.

Though she grew up as a maid in wealthy white households she eventually became an exotic dancer in France, famously appearing in next to no clothing, and became a French citizen in 1937.

Ernest Hemingway referred to Baker as ‘the most sensational woman anyone ever saw’ and she received approximately 1500 marriage proposals in her life time. She became a muse for Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Pablo Picasso, and Christian Dior. She had a variety of exotic pets including a cheetah named Chiquita, a chimpanzee named Ethel, a pig named Albert, a snake named Kiki, a goat, a parrot, parakeets, fish, three cats, and seven dogs.

When WWII broke out, Baker became a volunteer spy for France, and assisted the French Resistance by smuggling messages written in invisible ink on sheet music. She made great efforts to aid those in danger of enemy attack, sent Christmas presents to French soldiers, and smuggled information she gathered in Spain back to France by pinning notes containing the information on the inside of her underwear. She was awarded the Medal of Resistance with Rosette and later named a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour.

Baker also aided many civil rights movements by refusing to perform to segregated audiences and storming out of a club in Manhattan with actress Grace Kelly after she was refused service. She worked with the NAACP and spoke at a Washington march alongside Martin Luther King Jr. as the only official female speaker. Baker was actually asked by Martin Luther King Jr.’s widow to take his place as leader of the American Civil Rights Movement, but Baker declined on the grounds her twelve adopted children ‘were too young to lose their mother’.

Baker died in 1975, four days after her final show, attended by such names as Mick Jagger, Shirley Bassey, and Liza Minnelli.

Oh and she was queer and had a relationship with Frida Kahlo. All around badass.
